Saving throws are dice rolls representing a creature’s attempt to “save” themselves from harm. There are 5 types of Saving Throws:
| Saving Throw | What is it for |
|---|---|
| Agility Saving Throw | avoid incoming danger |
| Charisma Saving Throw | resist being controlled |
| Strength Saving Throw | resist being physically binded |
| Constitution Saving Throw | resist harmful effects |
| Intelligence Saving Throw | resist mental challenges |
| When you have a Saving Throw Game Master will compare it against the Saving Throw Difficulty Class: |
Critical Success: You achieve a critical success if your roll exceeds the Difficulty Class (DC) by 10 or more, or if you roll a natural 20 and the check succeeds.
Success: You succeed if your roll meets or exceeds the Difficulty Class (DC).
Failure: You fail if your roll is below the Difficulty Class (DC).
Critical Failure: You suffer a critical failure if your roll falls short of the DC by 10 or more, or if you roll a natural 1 and the check fails.
